Katherine H. (Zomnir) Hine, age 89, of Royersford, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 in her residence. Born on November 14, 1934, in Newport, Rhode Island, she was a daughter of the late Margaret Louise (Burns) and Walter Zomnir.

Katherine relocated with her family at a very young age to Springfield, Massachusetts and was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Springfield. Shortly after graduation, she went to work for the Insurance Company of North America after graduating high school. She remained with the company after its merger with Connecticut General and it became Cigna. Katherine worked her way up to a management position and relocated to Indiana for 12 years before moving to Royersford to continue with Cigna Corporation, based out of Philadelphia. In 2004, at the age of 70, Katherine retired after 45 years with the company holding the position of Senior Manager of Data Storage.

Although a career woman at heart, in a time where the workplace was dominated by men, Katherine enjoyed vacationing with friends in Montrose, Colorado. In her free time, she also had a love for gardening.

Katherine is survived by nephews: Rob Odegaard and Scott Odegaard; Godson: Jeff Botta and his wife Susan, of Cotuit, MA; many cousins in the Springfield area; and many very good friends and neighbors who became more like family, in the Royersford area, including Brad Boileau and Cynthia Orlando, Mark and Mary Dehnert, and Anne Metz. She was preceded in death by her sister, Arline Sande.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Sacred Heart Church, Walnut Street and Lewis Road, Royersford. Officiating will be the Rev. Tadeusz Gorka. Interment will take place the following week in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Springfield and will be handled by the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, Holyoke, MA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Katherine's name to Sacred Heart Church, P.O. Box 64, Royersford, PA 19468.
