Kathleen D. Dawson, age 65, of Royersford, PA, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018 in the LifeCare Hospital of Chester County. Born on September 16, 1953 in Phoenixville, PA, she was a daughter of the late John G. II and Pearl A. (Nagy) Trisch.

Kathleen was a graduate of Phoenixville High School. Immediately after graduation, she enlisted in the United States Army, serving as an M-16 sharpshooter in Korea for 10 years. While serving her country as a medical supply specialist, she received several medals including, the Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, the Expert (M-16), and the Army Commendation Medal. Her time in Korea was the highlight of her life. After returning home, she joined the Calvary Baptist church. Kathleen enjoyed being a member of the church bowling team, where she was an accomplished bowler. Later in life, she worked for many years at the Giant in Blue Bell, where she was awarded Employee of the Year multiple times. A loving and doting grandmother, she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren, and was proud to have crocheted each of them blankets throughout their lives. She had a kind and non-judgmental soul, making friends where ever she would go.

Katheleen is survived by her loving daughter, Sue Lyn, wife of Joshua Fennimore of Schwenksville, PA; and three grandchildren, Christopher, Chloe, and Corey Fennimore.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her celebration of life at the Royersford Baptist Church, 452 South Lewis Road, Royersford, PA on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held privately. A visitation will be held in the church from 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to a Veteran's Organization of your choosing.
