Obituary

Kathleen E. (Millard) Henderson-Gardner, age 95, wife of the late William F. Henderson Sr. and the late Albert W. Gardner, of Pottstown, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in the Sanatoga Center. Born on March 15, 1925 in Spring City, PA, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Sarah (Wells) Millard.

She was a Library Aide at the Oaks Elementary School for 26 years, having received her Associates Degree in Library Sciences from Montgomery County Community College at the age of 64. Her earlier employment, during World War II, was at B.F. Goodrich. She was a member of the Spring City Garden Club, the Spring City library Club, and a Den Mother to the Boy Scouts. As a faithful member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Oaks, she was a member of the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by one son, R. Thomas, husband of Antoinette Henderson of Pottstown, PA; four grandchildren, Wendy Kauffman of Arizona, Randy Henderson of Arizona, Neal Gerrish of Philadelphia, and Kurt Gerrish of Hatfield; twelve great-grandchildren; and one brother, Daniel Millard of Florida. Mrs. Gardner was preceded in death by one son, William F. Henderson, Jr.; one grandson, Joseph Gerrish; and three siblings, Elizabeth Ann Hammel, Jesse Millard, and Joan Estes.

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, services will be announced at a later date.
