Kathryn Mary Sweeney, of Phoenixville, PA died on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Sanatoga Center. She was 86.
Born in Hazleton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles James and Kathryn Aurelia (Zimmerman) Sweeney. She was a 1946 graduate of Freeland High School and 1949 graduate of the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital School of Nursing.
Her professional career brought her to Paoli Hospital, where she worked as a Registered Nurse until retiring as Vice President of Patient Care in 1981.
She is survived by siblings: Mary E. Sweeney, of Phoenixville and Charles J. Sweeney, husband of Janet, of Nazareth; and nieces: Jane Briggs, Kathryn Frace and Marjorie Lavin.
Services will be held on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 10:30 AM at St. Basil the Great R.C. Church, 2300 Kimberton Rd., Kimberton, PA. Officiating will be Rev. Gary T. Pacitti. Calling time is from 10-10:30 AM at the church. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Freeland, PA.
