Kathryn V. Hughes, 77, of Phoenixville, passed away on Tuesday morning at her home. She was the wife of the late Terence Hughes who died on January 24, 2002.

She was born in Churchtown, PA, a daughter of the late George M. and Eleanor (Gable) Stroman. Kathryn attended Phoenixville High School. She was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by two daughters: Kathleen, wife of Richard Knight, of Kenilworth and Deborah Ann Hughes, of Phoenixville; three sons: Terence F., husband of Irene M., of Birdsboro, George R. Hughes and Richard S. Hughes, both of Phoenixville; a sister, Nancy, wife of Raymond Carl Sr., of Cleveland, GA and brother, Marvin, husband of Nannette Stroman, of Royersford and five grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a sister Margaret Eisenhauer.

Her funeral service will be held on Monday, June 8, 2009 at 10 AM at Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA. Calling hours are on Sunday evening 7-8:30 PM and Monday 9-10 AM. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the Cancer Center at Phoenixville Hospital, 824 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
