Kenneth J. Malenke, 45, of Richmond, VA, formerly East Coventry, PA, passed away unexpectedly during a volleyball tournament, on Saturday, May 18, 2013, in Virginia Beach, VA. Born in Phoenixville, PA, he was the son of John R. "Jack" and Rev. Elizabeth "Betty" (Alderfer) Malenke, of New Oxford, PA, formerly East Coventry, PA.

Kenneth was a 1985 graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School, Pottstown, PA and received his B.A. in Business and Accounting from Juniata College in 1989. He had been employed in accounting at Doehler-Jarvis in Pottstown, in logistics for Penske in Reading and most recently as a project manager for Varolli, Seattle, WA.

Kenneth was a member of Coventry Church of the Brethren, Kenilworth, PA. He was an active volleyball player and had in interest in golf and NASCAR.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth is survived by his son, Jackson Wyatt Malenke of Richmond, VA; his former wife and friend, Ellen (Fulmer) Malenke of Richmond, VA; and aunts and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, on Friday, May 24, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Warren M. Eshbach. Interment will be private in the East Coventry Mennonite Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kenneth's name to The Robison Fund, c/o The Richmond Volleyball Club, 2921 Birdhill Road, Henrico, VA 23228, to help support children who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford to play.
