Kenneth G. Symms, 66, of Collegeville, PA passed away on Saturday evening, October 19, 2013 at Seasons Hospice.
He was born in Spokane, WA to the late Stanley H. Symms and Ruth Evelyn (Stalwick) Symms, of Bremerton, WA. Kenneth was a graduate of the University of Washington-Seattle where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Doctor of Philosophy in Toxicology. He was the founder and CEO of Environmental Standards Inc., Valley Forge, Pa from 1987 until he retired in 2002, and was a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology.
He is survived by his two sons and their mother: Daniel Symms, of Wayne; Lawrence C. Symms and wife Jennifer, of Ellicott City, MD; and Charlotte Symms, of Woodland, CA; grandsons: Henry and Nathan Symms; brothers: Richard Symms and wife Merlyn, of Bremerton, WA; and Stephen Symms, of Seattle, WA.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013 at Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA. Visitation will be from 5-6 PM.
