Kenneth R. Weidner, 80, of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Monday, April 22, 2013 at his home. He was the husband of Sue J. (Sparling) Weidner.
Mr. Weidner was born in Chicago, IL to the late Kenneth R. and Sarah E. (Gawley) Weidner. He attended Michigan State University. In his professional career, he was the owner and publisher of the Trenton Times (Michigan) and Ticonderoga Sentinel (New York). Later, he worked as the business manager for Evangelical Ministries and as International Vice President of North American Publishing, both of Philadelphia. He was also the founder, of Weidner Communications, which has since been succeeded by his son, Matthew.
He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Phoenixville, PA, where he and his wife helped to maintain the landscaping and grounds.
Ken also enjoyed travel, reading, history and studying his bible.
Mr. Weidner is survived by his children: David J. Weidner and wife Wendi, of Gilford, NH; Elizabeth A. Chiodo and husband George, of East Norriton; and Matthew T. Weidner and wife Alexandra, of Downingtown; grandchildren: Laura, Kirianna and Nataliya Weidner and Nicholas Chiodo. Sister-in-law, Jean Weidner, widow of Howard, of Indiana and nieces: Tammy, Shelly and Kelly.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Faith Baptist Church, 1015 Livingston Avenue, Phoenixville, PA 19460. Burial will be private.
