Kimberly E. (Szabo) Rodriguez, age 38, wife of Justin J. Rodriguez of Easton, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023 in the St. Luke's Hospital - Allentown surrounded by family. Born on March 11, 1985, in Phoenixville, she was the daughter of Merylene R. (Beasom) Szabo, of Phoenixville, PA and Bruce Thomas Szabo and his wife Janet, of Boydton, VA.
In addition to her husband of 8 years and parents, Kimberly is survived by her brother: Jason Szabo and wife Ali; step-brother: Mark Irwin and wife Sheli; father-in-law: Joseph Rodriguez and wife Gladys; mother-in-law: Maria Rodriguez; brothers-in-law: Matthew E. Rodriguez and Joseph B. Rodriguez and wife Tammy; furbabies: Luna, Leo & Jemma, and many relatives and cousins.
A Class of 2003 graduate of Phoenixville Area High School, Kimberly played the saxophone as a member of the concert and marching bands and also performed in the drumline and choir. She received her degree in music education from Bridgewater College, Bridgewater, VA, where she learned to play any instrument with a reed. Kim was an active member of the Girl Scouts, having attained the highest rank, known as the Gold Award, and held employment at the Girl Scout Council as a young adult and served as a leader for various troops.
Kimberly had most recently been employed as a medical billing analyst for Ensemble but had been previously employed with MedRisk in King of Prussia for 12 years. She was a longtime member of Green Tree Church of the Brethren, where she was Baptized as a teenager by her own choosing, was active with the young adult group and had become a Licensed Minister.
Kimberly enjoyed baking, was a huge fan of the film "The Boondock Saints," collected Care Bears, Beanie Babies and porcelain dolls, and loved the Philadelphia Eagles. She had an immense love for animals, and as an advocate, was constantly trying to find a furever home for those animals in need. She had a passion for Ireland, where she and Justin spent their honeymoon.
She was the sweetest person, always wanting to help others, always reaching out to those in need and cared more about others than herself. Kimberly loved time spent with young children, especially her nieces, nephews and godchildren and they also enjoyed the time spent with her. She loved family game nights. She would also pay for meals for elderly people or veterans when she could.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Green Tree Church of the Brethren, 1078 Egypt Road, Oaks, PA.
