Kurtis C. Kress, age 39, of Chester Springs, PA died Sunday evening, April 24, 2011 in the Phoenixville Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Phoenixville, PA, he was a son of Charles L. and Patricia K. (Mattson) Kress. He was a 1989 graduate of the Owen J. Roberts High School, where he was on the football and wrestling teams. Mr. Kress also graduated from the Delaware Valley College. He worked as a plant inspector for the PA Department of Agriculture, Region 7 in Skippack, PA for over 15 years. He was a member of the Bucktown Boosters Mens Football Club. Mr. Kress was an avid hunter and outdoorsmen. He was also a charter member of the Bulky's Buckoos Hunting Club in Bradford County.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Kress is survived by one sister; Theresa L. Kress, of Pottstown, one brother; Steven F. Kress, of Whitehall, PA, one niece; Samantha, one nephew; Manny.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at the St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 3640 Schuylkill Road, Spring City, PA 19475 on Friday morning, April 29, 2011 at 10:30 AM, celebrated by Rev. Charles R. O'Hara. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Friends will be received Thursday evening from 7:00 - 8:30PM or Friday morning from 8:45 - 9:45 AM at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA.
