LaBelle M. (Mitchell) Zeider of Audubon, Pennsylvania, age 99, loving wife of the late Joseph Paul Zeider, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 26, 2020 in Einstein Medical Center Montgomery. Born on August 24, 1921 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, she was a daughter of the late Carroll and Jewell Mitchell.
LaBelle was a dedicated member of Valley Forge Baptist and was also involved earlier in the beginnings of the Chera Fellowship Ministry at Limerick Chapel. She assisted for many years in the church Nursery as well as the Moms Club ministry. After retirement, she went back to college to complete one of her life’s goals, to earn her bachelor’s degree. In 1993, at the age of 72, she graduated from Ursinus College with a degree in Business Management. Her hobbies included playing the organ and attending organ seminars, cake decorating, flower arrangement, square dancing and playing bridge. And of course, her sweet tooth for ice cream was known by all. LaBelle always had a sense of humor and was known for her quick wit, her hospitality towards others and welcoming spirit into her home with open arms.
LaBelle is survived by her son, David Hanson, her daughter Antoinette M. Rapp and husband Jeffrey J. Rapp; her grandson Joshua J. Rapp and wife Gauri Padalkar; niece Terri Mitchell and husband Richard Scadden; nephews: James Mitchell and Chester Lee Davis and wife Joanne Davis; great-niece, Melinda Cline, great-nephew Derek Camann and sister-in-law, Towanna Mitchell.
In addition to her parents and her loving husband, she was preceded in death by her older sister, Joyce Watson, and younger brother, Marshall Mitchell.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Valley Forge Baptist, 616 S. Trappe Road, Collegeville, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be the Rev. Lamar Eifert. Family and friends may call prior to the services from 10:00AM - 11:00AM at the church. Burial will be held in the Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in honor of LaBelle Zeider to “Forge Kids Ministry” at Valley Forge Baptist. Condolences may be made by visiting www.RoyersfordFuneralHome.com.
