Larry J. McConnell Sr., 60, of Phoenixville, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2009, in the Kindred Hospital, Havertown. Born in Gate City, VA, he was a son of the late Hugh and Margaret McConnell.

Mr. McConnell was employed at Johnson Controls. He was a member of the Friendship Fire Co., Royersford, and enjoyed spending time with his friends at Tom's Bar. He also loved hunting, fishing, boating, camping, bowling, and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. McConnell is survived by his daughter, Yvonne L. McConnell, of West Reading, son, Larry J. McConnell Jr., of Phoenixville, sister, Louise Washington, of North Carolina, five grandchildren, his step-mother, Patsy McConnell, of Tennessee, 2 half-sisters and five half-brothers.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Berks County Memorial Gardens.
