LaVonne M. (Wood) Badzik, 76, wife of Frank "Pat" Badzik, of Audubon, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2009, in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Urbana, OH, she was a daughter of the late Everett C. Wood and Juanita (Howard) Cortese.
Mrs. Badzik was a 1950 graduate of Springfield High School, Springfield, OH. She was employed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH, and then managed the Mill Grove Apartments in Audubon. She liked gardening and cooking, and especially enjoyed trips to the Casinos.
In addition to her loving husband of 55 years, Mrs. Badzik is survived by two daughters, Candace I. Badzik, of Pottstown, and Deborah J., wife of Anthony Natalini, of Pottstown, son, Richard P. Badzik, of Audubon, four grandchildren, Jennifer and Christine Natalini and Nicholas and Tyler Badzik, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers Richard and Dale Wood.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 10 a.m. Officiating will be Chaplain John Holsey. Interment will follow in the Green Tree Cemetery. Friends will be received from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home.
