Leahnore (Gordon) Wells, 89, widow of the late Ernest W. Wells, of Audubon, formerly Schwenksville, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2009, in the Meadows at Shannondell. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Leahnore S. (Graham) Gordon.

Mrs. Wells was a 1937 graduate of Frankford High School. She was a member of the Church of the Epiphany, Royersford, where she served on the Altar Guild, was a member of the Women of the Epiphany, volunteered with Community Outreach and Vacation Bible School.

She was a housewife and loving mother, who was a member of the Royersford Women's Club and enjoyed reading, crocheting, needlepoint, and gardening.
Mrs. Wells is survived by two daughters, Leahnore M. Tait, of Las Vegas, NV, and Susan M., wife of Barry Bussell, of Valley Forge, son Richard W. Wells, of Bonita Springs, FL, brother, Robert C. Gordon Sr., of Stowe, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and four nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ada Gordon and by one grandson, Mark W. Wagner.


Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Memorial gifts may be made in her name to Montgomery Hospice, 25 W. Fornance Street, Norristown, PA 19401.
