Leo T. Brignola, 67, of Trooper, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, in the Suburban Woods Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late Leo Brignola and the late Dorothy (Edinger) Brignola Porochniak.
Mr. Brignola was a 1959 graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School. He was employed as a driver for Midgley Fuel in Valley Forge and then as a truck driver for Peleggi and Sons Trucking. In his younger years, he was involved with a drag race team at Maple Grove Raceway as a driver and mechanic. He loved snowmobiling and his passion was riding his Harley-Davidson.
Mr. Brignola is survived by two sisters, Kathryn, wife of David Heistand, of East Coventry and Connie Erb, of Attleboro, Mass., seven nieces and nephews, and sixteen grand nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his graveside service at the Highland Memorial Park, 701 Farmington Avenue, Pottstown, PA on Friday, May 22, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Mark Weaver, Minister of the Vermilion Church of Christ.
