Leo J. Foster, age 82, husband of the late Colleen T. Foster, formerly of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024. Born on December 8, 1941 in Binghamton, NY, he was the son of the late Rita (Gahagan) and T. Harold Foster and brother of the late Rosemary Driscoll.
Leo was educated in the Catholic school system of Binghamton, NY and then moved on to College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. After many years of working as an electrical engineer, he retired from the Herman Goldner Co. Inc. in Philadelphia in 2009.
Leo was a faithful member of St. Teresa of Avila Roman Catholic Church in Audubon. His world was centered around his family, and he cherished the time he spent with them. He was interested in his Irish heritage, Civil War history, and was a skilled sportsman who enjoyed target practice.
He is survived by eight children, Brigid, Leo Jr. (Karen), Meghan (Bill), Kara (Rick), Julia (John), Moira (Mike), Siobhan (John), and Caitilin (Greg), twelve grandchildren, three nieces, and two beloved cousins: Jane Borelli and Tom Foster.
Relatives and friends are invited for a visiting hour from 8:45 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. and a memorial mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila R.C. Church, 1260 S. Trooper Road, Audubon, PA 19403 on Friday, February 2, 2024. Burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Heart Association, 625 W. Ridge Pike, Suite A100, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
