Leonard R. Wagner, Sr., husband of Earlene S. (Stover) Wagner, of Schwenksville, PA, died Wednesday evening, February 3, 2010 at home. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Leonard F. Wagner and Minnie (Bastian) Wagner. He attended the Sell-Perk and Allentown Catholic High Schools. Mr. Wagner worked as a truck driver most of his life. He worked for the Roadway Express Company in Oaks for over 20 years. After retiring he worked as a driver for the Limerick Florist. He was a member of the Heidelberg United Church of Christ in Schwenksville. Mr. Wagner was an avid auto racing fan. He enjoyed attending the races at Grandview on Saturday nights. He was also a member of the Trappe, Royersford, and Sellersville V.F.W,'s, the Lower Frederick Fire House, the Sellersville Owls Club, and the Quiwananick Hunting Club in Pike County, PA.
In addition to his wife of 52 years, Mr. Wagner is survived by Four Children; Linda D., wife of James O. Hoch, of Peach Bottom, PA, Leonard R. Wagner, Jr., of Collegeville, PA, Louis E. Wagner, of Allentown, Patti-Ann, wife of Matti Maenpaa, of Collegeville, PA, One Sister; Gloria Paul, of Florida, Seven Grandchildren; Nikki, James, Jr., Kevin, Dana, Wesley, Suvi-Ann, Satu-Lene, Two Great-Grandchildren; Trista, Meghan, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 4:00 - 6:00PM Sunday, February 7, 2010 at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA or on Monday morning from 10-10:45AM at the Heidelberg United Church of Christ, 251 Perkiomen Avenue, Schwenksville, PA 19473. The funeral service will immediately follow at the Church at 11:00AM Officiating will be the Rev. Debra Timmins. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
