Lester M. Seiders, age 63, husband of Monica A. (Makins) Seiders, of Royersford, PA, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021 at home. Born on October 6, 1957 in Norristown, PA, he was a son of Lester M. and Theresa H. (Cilio) Seiders.

Les was a 1975 graduate of Upper Merion High School. He spent a lot of his time driving, and most recently worked as a truck driver for TMC Trucking and Pella Windows. In his youth, Les played baseball with the Bridgeport Little League, and was involved with the Cub Scout Troop #222 through Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and camping.

Les began his volunteer work in the fire service as a Junior member of the Bridgeport Fire Co. #1, and would also go on to serve as an Assistant Chief for the Upper Frederick Fire Company. Beginning in 2008, he joined the Royersford Fire Department. Les served as the current Vice President, was an active firefighter, and was a past Chief Engineer in Royersford.

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Seiders is survived by three children, Jennifer R. Seiders, Michael P. Seiders, and Melissa J. Seiders; two step-sons, Shane C. Makins and Dustin M. Yocum; many grandchildren; two sisters, Denise T. Seiders and Robyn M., wife of Ted Bougon; his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Marlene Thompson; two brothers-in-law, Joseph, husband of Melissa Makins and Scott, husband of Terri Makins; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Seiders was preceded in death by one sister, Rachel M. Seiders.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at the Friendship Fire Company, 269 Green Street, Royersford, PA on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 11:00 am. Burial will be held privately. Friends will be received from 9:00 am - 11:00 am Tuesday at the Friendship Fire Company. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Royersford Fire Department, 269 Green Street, Royersford, PA 19468.
