Obituary

Lidie Mary (Jordan) King, 100, wife of the late Benjamin King, of Pennsburg, PA, formerly of Friendsville, died early Wednesday morning, February 2nd, 2011 in the Pennsburg Manor. Born in Norristown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Emma Jordan. Mrs. King worked during World War II at the Jacobs Aircraft Plant in Pottstown and then became a homemaker.

Mrs. King is survived by two children; Doris, wife of Fred Meyers, of Schwenksville, PA, David, husband of Esther King, of Bainbridge, NY, six grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. King is also survived by her caring friend; Robert Adrian.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA 19468 on Monday morning, February 7th, 2011 at 11:30 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Nathan King. Burial will be in the Green Tree Cemetery, Oaks, PA. Friends will be received from 10:30 to 11:30 AM, Monday morning at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in her name to the Montgomery County SPCA, 1059 Sweifford Road, Perkiomenville, PA 18074.
