Dr. Lilliam Kingsbury Ph.D.

Dr. Lilliam Kingsbury Ph.D., age 72, wife of Dr. William Dennis Kingsbury, of Wilmington, NC and Lititz, PA, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at her Lititz home. Born on March 27, 1947 in Placetas, Cuba, she was a daughter of the late Dr. Atanasio and Adelina Mousset Fajardo. After emigrating to the United States at the age of 15 years, Dr. Kingsbury immediately entered college and received her Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Wayne State University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa, at the age of 18 years. She went on to earn her Master's degree in Statistics from Villanova University, and her Doctorate in Statistics from Temple University. After teaching statistics at St. Joseph's University and Villanova University, Dr. Kingsbury had a distinguished career serving in senior leadership positions at several clinical research and pharmaceutical companies. After retirement, she served as a Eucharistic Minister at the St. Therese Catholic Church in Wrightsville Beach, NC, and was an active volunteer in the community. She had a zest for life and enjoyed traveling, painting, playing the piano, and boating. She cherished most of all spending time with her immediate and extended family and especially playing board games with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband of 52 years, Lilliam is survived by three sons, William Scott Kingsbury, husband of Elizabeth of Lancaster, PA, William Lawrence Kingsbury, husband of Maureen of Phoenixville, PA, and William Russell Kingsbury, husband of Kimberly of Phoenixville, PA; nine grandchildren, Scott, Jack, Sam, and Charlie Kingsbury of Lancaster, PA, James and Julia Kingsbury of Phoenixville, PA, and Tyler, Andrew, and Kevin Kingsbury of Phoenixville, PA; three siblings, Dr. Mario Fajardo, husband of Lynn of Sarasota, FL, Lisette Macfarlane, wife of Ken of Plymouth, MI, and Raul Fajardo, husband of Judie of Bolivia, NC. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial mass at the St. Ann Chapel, 604 South Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 10:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. John J. Newns. Burial will be held privately in the St. Ann Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm Friday evening at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc, 610 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA or again on Saturday morning from 9:00 am - 10:00 am in the Chapel.
