Lois E. Bower, age 82, of Royersford, PA, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022 in the Sanatoga Court. Born on August 27, 1940 in Phoenixville, she was a daughter of the late Clyde A. Bower and the late Margaret V. (Free) Bower-Lewis, wife of the late William Lewis.

Lois was a graduate of Spring-Ford High School, where she played varsity and excelled in softball and basketball. Following high school, she began her 40-plus year career for Container Corp. in Oaks, PA as an Executive Secretary. When the company was bought out by Smurfit-Stone, she furthered her work in the design and construction of new box products.

Lois was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Royerford, PA. In her youth, she enjoyed sailing and spending time on the Chesapeake Bay. She was an avid reader, especially of spy fiction novels. She enjoyed completing crossword puzzles in pen, as well as playing scrabble. Although she had no children of her own, Lois loved her family, and gave special attention to each of her five nieces and nephews and ten great-nieces and great-nephews.

Lois is survived by two siblings, Barbara J. Shaffer of Royersford, PA and David M. Bower of Connecticut; five nieces and nephews; and ten great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by two siblings.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA 19468 on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 11:00 am. MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED. Burial will follow in the Great Valley Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10:30 am - 11:00 am.
