Louis "Sonny" DiNicola, Jr., age 73, companion of Matilda "Tillie" Sturman, of Spring City, PA, formerly of Royersford, PA died early Friday morning, May 17, 2013 in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Royersford, he was a son of the late Louis DiNicola, Sr., and the late Clyda (Keeley) DiNicola. He was a graduate of the Royersford High School. A veteran, Mr. DiNicola served for the U.S. Navy. He worked as a machine operator for the Dow Chemical Company in Royersford. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Royersford. Mr. DiNicola was a member of the Spring City American Legion and the Royersford VFW. He also tended bar for a number of years at the Royersford VFW.

Mr. DiNicola is survived by four siblings: Robert, husband of Brenda (Severson) DiNicola, of Royersford; Diana L. Whitesel, of Royersford; Vilma M., wife of the late Howard M. Morris, of Royersford; Mary B., wife of Robert T. Francis, of St. Peter's, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Mass at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Lewis Road at Walnut Street, Royersford, PA on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 10:30AM. Burial will be in the Fernwood Cemetery. Friends will be received from 7:00-8:30PM Tuesday evening or from 9-10AM Wednesday morning at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the "Catholic Charities Appeal" 222 North 17th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
