Louise T. Brand, 84, formerly of Phoenixville, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014 at the Meadows of Shannondell. She was the wife of the late Millard F. Brand, who died in 2006.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John Lindsay and Anne (Wright), and her husband John Ferguson. She was a graduate of Dobbins Technical High School. Mrs. Brand was the owner/operator of Louise Brand Hair Salon in Kimberton for many years. She was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and Soroptimist Club, both of Phoenixville and was also a member of the Red Hat Society. She also volunteered at her church food pantry.
She and her late husband spent many years living on the Chesapeake, where they enjoyed sailing.
She is survived by her sons: Lee Brand and wife Lisa, of Spring City and Keith Brand, of Philadelphia; sisters: Anne Kurtz of Phoenixville and Phyllis Rodenbaugh, of Montgomeryville; granddaughters: Nicole and Chelsea Brand; and sister-in-law, Verna Madison, of Philadelphia. She was also predeceased by a sister, Ruth Onarotti.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 11:30 AM at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 121 Church St. Phoenixville, PA. Visitation will be held beginning at 11 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Koshy Matthews. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Church at the above address.
