Louise W. (Weiss) Wood, age 92, wife of the late J. Edward Wood, Jr. of Pottstown, PA, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Amity Place, Douglassville. Born on May 19, 1929 in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Erhardt and Mary (Stetler) Weiss.

Mrs. Wood was a graduate of North Coventry High School, Class of 1947. Louise worked as a secretary for Bethlehem Steel. She was a member of Coventry Church of Brethren, where she sang in the choir for 60 years. She was also a member of The Order of the Eastern Star and the Coventry Garden Club. Louise took pride in organizing her high school reunions. In her free time, she enjoyed ceramics and sewing.

Mrs. Wood is survived by two sons, Joseph E. III, husband of Linda Wood of Venice, FL and Douglas E., husband of Patricia Wood of Reading, PA; four grandchildren, Greg, husband of Michelle Fritz of Pottstown, PA, Jennifer Yocom, wife of Christopher of Pottstown, PA, Tim, husband of Lindsey Haines of Reading, PA, and Tom Haines of Los Angeles, CA; nine great-grandchildren, Justin, Jacob, Jenna, Alex, Lauren, Lindsey, Ryan, Brooklynn, and Deklen; and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Louise is preceded in death by a sister, Janet Hilborn.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 11am in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Pottstown, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pottstown Cluster of Religious Communities, 57 N. Franklin Street, Pottstown, PA 19464 or to the Coventry Church of the Brethren Memorial Fund, 946 Keen Road, Pottstown, PA 19465.
