Marcīa E. Smith Boring, age 64, of Berwyn, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024 in the Chester County Hospital, West Chester, PA. Born on April 2, 1960, in Bryn Mawr, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy (Sherman) and Andrew Johnson.

A graduate of Conestoga High School, Marcīa received her Associates Degree in animal husbandry from Harcum College, in Bryn Mawr. She had most recently been employed as a horse trainer at Valley Forge Military Academy but had an immense love for animals. She was actively involved in many animal rescues, especially supporting spay and neuter, as well as stopping puppy mills. Marcīa always said she only wanted 4 legged children and rescued many dogs and cats over her lifetime.

At one time, Marcīa owned and operated her own catering business called Comfort Foods, based out of Devon.

Marcīa is survived by her longtime friend: Linda Brenner; and her God-son: Royce Brenner.

A celebration of Marcīa's life will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 1:00 PM, at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc, Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marcīa's name to an animal rescue or animal charity of choice.
