Margaret Yoder Gass, 90, of West Chester, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Neighborhood Hospice, West Chester, PA. She was the wife of the late Rev. Darwin X. Gass, who died in 1987.

She was born in Maryland to the late Rev. Dr. Paul D. and Kittie (Huff) Yoder. She was raised in Codorus (Jefferson) York County, PA and was a graduate of Spring Grove High School. Margaret was a homemaker. She was also a faithful member of Washington Memorial Chapel where she volunteered in the Cabin Shop. She also organized Margaret's Fun Tours.

Her survivors include a daughter; Winnie, wife of the late Herbert Spoonts, of Phoenixville; son, D. Erek Gass and companion Helen Caldwell, of New Freedom, PA; sister, Edna, wife of the late Charles Harden, of Beverly Hills, FL; four grandchildren and three great-granchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Andrea Lynn Gass.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at 11:30 AM at Washington Memorial Chapel, Valley Forge National Park, Rt. 23, Valley Forge, PA. Interment will follow in the churchyard. Family will greet friends after the committal service at the Bishop's Room (downstairs of the church). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church, P.O.
