Margaret C. (Peters) Shappell, age 83, wife of the late Charles H. Shappell, of Royersford, PA, died Thursday afternoon in the Phoenixville Hospital. Born in Lansdale, she was a daughter of the late William and Hazel (Sims) Peters. Mrs. Shappell attended school in Trooper. She was devoted to her family all of her life. She was a member of the Church of the Epiphany Episcopal Church in Royersford for many years. She donated her time to assisting several programs at the Phoenixville Hospital. In her spare time, Mrs. Shappell enjoyed golfing, and was a long-term member of the Spring - Ford Country Club.

Mrs. Shappell is survived by two daughters; Peggy A., wife of Larry L. Cox, of Royersford, Patricia Dudas Vento, wife of Philip A. Vento, of Limerick, PA, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Shappell was pre-deceased by two brothers; William and Robert Peters.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at the Church of the Epiphany Episcopal Church, 209 S. Third Avenue, Royersford, PA on Wednesday evening, March 18, 2009 at 7:30PM. Officiating will be the Rev. James L. Shannon, and Deacon Joseph B. Dietz. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by the Cattermole - Klotzbach funeral home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA.
