Margaret C. Wertz, age 84, wife of the late James Wertz, of Downingtown, PA, died Saturday, August 27, 2016 in the Sanatoga Center Nursing Home, Pottstown, PA. Born on October 22, 1931 in Bryn Mawr, PA, she was a daughter of the late William and Esther (Heasley) County. She was a graduate of the 1950 Downingtown High School. She worked as a receptionist for 32 years at the Church Farm School in Exton. Following retirement, she continued to work as a bus driver for Wolfington for 19 years, followed by 2 years with Seniors Helping Seniors. As a child, Mrs. Wertz enjoyed square dancing and riding and showing horses. In later years, she was an avid bowler, knitter, reader, and bingo player.

Mrs. Wertz is survived by Son, James C., husband of Marjorie (Hunter) Wertz of Downingtown, PA; Two Sisters, Carolyn Prescott, Ruth, wife of Virgil Milkie; Granddaughter, Melissa Wertz; Step Granddaughter, Beverly Bari; Step Grandson, Robert Bari; Three Great-granddaughters, Savannah Foraker, Selina Bari, Ella Bari; Three Great-grandsons, Austin Foraker, Hunter Bari, Cooper Bari.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at the Ludwig's Corner Fire Company, 1325 Pottstown Pike, Glenmoore, PA 19343 on Saturday October 1, 2016 at 11AM. Officiating will be the Rev. John C. Kolle . Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to 4-H Club, 1841 Horseshoe Pike, Honey Brook, PA 19344 .
