Mark R. Hagner, Sr., age 93, husband of Elizabeth M. (MacFarland) Hagner, of Parkesburg, PA, formerly of King of Prussia, passed away Saturday evening, January 22, 2011 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Norristown, he was a son of the late Henry and Sarah (Steifel) Hagner.

Mr. Hagner was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Oaks, PA, and attended Norristown High School. He then went on to serve in the United States Army during World War II. A true "jack of all trades", he worked for and retired from the Johnson & Johnson Company in King of Prussia and Bridgeport. Mr. Hagner was a member of the Valley Forge VFW Post #7878. He enjoyed to garden, cook, camp, fish, and go boating. The most important aspect of life was raising his eleven children and teaching them different skills. Mr. Hagner was also proud to have lived in his home in King of Prussia for over 49 years.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Hagner is survived by, seven daughters, Sally (Peter) Lolio, of Florida, Mary (Robert) Carl, of Graterford, Anne Hindo, of Harleysville, Lois (Tom) Laffredo, of Swedesburg, Pegi (Mark) Sedor, of Swedeland, Elaine Moyer, widow of Dale, of Coatesville, and Gina (Brian) Richardson, of Morgantown; three sons, William (Diane) Hagner, of East Norriton, Charles (Cathy) Hagner, of Collegeville, and Carl (Christine) Hagner, of Iowa; thirty-five grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Mark Hagner, Jr., one grandson, Nicholas Richardson, two sisters, and one brother.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 126 Black Rock Road, Oaks, PA 19456 on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 10:30 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Dan Olsen. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends will be received at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA on Thursday evening, January 27, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 PM, and on Friday morning from 9:00-10:00 AM.
