Martha (Garner) Kistler, age 82, wife of Paul M. Kistler, of Kimberton, PA, formerly a longtime resident of Red Fox Lane in Strafford, PA, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020, a resident of Spring Mill. Born on May 12, 1938 in Melbourne, FL, daughter of Lewis S. and Frances (Guice) Garner.

Martha was a graduate of Evanston High School in Evanston, IL, and would go on to study Art and receive her Bachelor's degree from Colorado College in Colorado Springs, CO. An accomplished artist, she focused primarily in drawing and charcoal sketches. An avid gardener, she was a Past President of the Gardening Club of the Main Line. For over 25 years, Martha was a volunteer at the Bryn Mawr Hospital, retiring in 2019. She was a social member of the Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company and greatly enjoyed attending their events over the years. A lover of all animals, she pledged her support with countless animal organizations, including the ASPCA, the SPCA, the Humane Society, the Sierra Club, the Audubon Society, and the Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals.

In addition to her husband, Martha is survived by two children, Carol K. Pitts of Kimberton, PA and Kenneth P. Kistler (Kim) of Kimberton, PA; one brother, Robert B. Garner (Cheri) of Pleasantville, NY; three grandchildren, Kendra L. Davis, Michael P. Pitts, and Dale L. Kistler; one nephew, Bryan Garner (Kelly), and one niece, Melissa Adelman (Jesse).

Funeral and burial services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals, 328 Upper Gulph Road, Radnor, PA 19087.
