Martha J. Lauber, 87, of Limerick, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2008, in the Sanatoga Center.? Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Charles H. and Anna May Lauber.?
Mrs. Lauber was a 1944 graduate of Philadelphia School of the Bible.? A staff member of Limerick Chapel, she had a great interest in young people and extensive prayer ministry and was loved by many at Limerick Chapel. She operated Limerick Chapel's Bible Correspondence Course and the Mailbox Bible Club.? As Bible Club Director, she oversaw over fifty children's bible clubs in schools and homes, until her retirement in 1985. ?She continued to work in the office, after her retirement, until the time of her death.? ?
She is survived by two nephews and one niece, and was preceded in death by sister Dorothy Martha Davis of Philadelphia and brother John Francis Lauber of Burlington, NJ.?
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Limerick Chapel, 378 W. Ridge Pike, Limerick, on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 6 PM.? Officiating will be the Rev. Daniel M. Peters.? Friends may call from 5-6 PM at the Chapel.? Interment will be held on Monday, May 19, 2008, at 11 AM at the Limerick Garden of Memories, 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick.?
