Martha A. (Bodor) Richards, 72, of South Coventry, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2017 in Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 22, 1945 in South Coventry, she was a daughter of the late Lillian (Garner) and Paul Bodor.
Martha was a graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School and had been employed in accounts payable at Spring City Knitting Mill, Bishop Tube, J. Fagley and Purfex.
The matriarch of her family, she was the glue that strengthened the bonds of her family. She organized all family get-togethers, picnics and reunions. Known to all as Mom-Mom, she send a card for every holiday, specialized to each recipient. She was truly a caregiver, oftentimes helping with the children. She was quiet and humble, but had a profound impact on all.
She enjoyed playing cards and listening to Neil Diamond.
Martha is survived by her children: Tracy L. Wickmann, fiancee of James Cairns, of Zionsville, and Norris C. Richards, III, husband of Maureen McGinty, of Clyde, NC; grandchildren: Ian Richards, Mason Wickmann, Gavin Cairns and Erin Cairns; siblings: Paul, husband of Anna Bodor, of Pottstown, Dennis Bodor, Sr., of Pottstown and Mary Bodor, of Pottstown; nephews: Tim, husband of Dana Bodor, of Pottstown and Dennis Jr., husband of Christina Bodor, of Boyertown; and great-nieces: Madison, Lauren, Sydney and Sabrina Bodor. She was preceded in death by her husband: Norris C. Richards, Jr.; and a brother: Robert Bodor.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at Cutillos Restaurant, 2688 E. High Street, Pottstown, on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at 1:00 pm, with lunch to follow.
