Mary Bernadette (Cappadona) O'Brien, age 95, Wife of the late Charles Francis O'Brien of Royersford, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Maria (Ferris) and Joseph Cappadona.
"Cappy" graduated from Reading High School, where she was captain of the volleyball team and member of the nursing, bowling and movie fan clubs. She worked as a secretary for Jones Motors Trucking. Her interests included reading murder mysteries, horse racing, the Eagles, snacking while watching late night TV, eluding the great outdoors, cooking Italian dishes, and managing her five kid's daily lives.
She is survived by her children: Michael O'Brien (wife Lynn), Charles O'Brien (wife Robin), Karen Garland (wife of William Garland), Marlene Cox (wife of Joseph Cox), and Vincent O'Brien (wife Lynn). She also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, with 2 more on the way, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles; her parents, Joseph and Maria, sister, Anna; and brothers, Charles and Anthony.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass service at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 3640 Schuylkill Rd, Spring City, PA 19475 on Friday, January 23, at 10:30 AM. Officiating will be Fr. O'Hara. Friends will be received from 10:00 to 10:30AM prior to the service. Burial will follow in the St. Ann's Cemetery. 378 W Pothouse Rd, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
