Mary Elizabeth "Betsy" Cooney, age 50, of Oxford, PA, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016 in Brandywine Hall.

Born on May 5, 1965 in Norristown, PA, she was a daughter of the late William and Susan (Andrews) Cooney. She attended St. Ann's School and Upattinas High School.

Betsy lived life with gusto. She had a musical soul, a kind heart, a fiery stubborn streak, and was a strong, adventurous, determined woman. She was always generous to those she loved, and took great joy in her beloved daughter and grandson. She was an amazing person, in so many ways, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Betsy is survived by a daughter, Alyssa L. Cooney, and a grandson, Alec Cooney, of Phoenixville, PA; five sisters: Mary Susan Cooney, Marion Valaro (David); Christa Putt (Trace), Anne Cooney, Jeanette Cooney; four brothers: William Cooney, Gerald Cooney (Janelle), Robert Cooney, and Patrick Cooney, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Ceremony at Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc, 610 South Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 10:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph A. Heim. Burial will be held in the St. Ann Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA. Friends will be received from 9:00 am - 10:00 am.
