Mary A. (Gombarick) DiGuiseppe, age 92, of Royersford, wife of the late Gabriel S. DiGuiseppe Sr., passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021 in Phoenixville Hospital surrounded by her family. Born on the Blessed Mother's birthday, on September 8, 1929 on St. Mary's Street in Phoenixville, she was the daughter of the late Mary P. (Istak) and Charles F. Gombarick.

Mary attended St. Mary's Elementary School and was a graduate of Phoenixville High School. A devout Catholic, she spent most of her life as a member of Sacred Heart Church, Royersford, where she sang in the choir for thirty years, taught CCD for six years, served as a Lector, was a member of the Charismatic Prayer Group and for many years was a volunteer in the Sacred Heart School Cafeteria. She continued her faith in her home and instilled in her children a strong faith in God. She also attended yearly spiritual retreats. Mary suffered much loss in her lifetime, but valiantly soldiered on using her Faith in God to carry on.

A calm soul who never lost her cool, Mary was a sweet, loving and caring mother and devoted loving wife. She raised her children with infinite patience and made her house a home with the beautiful song in her heart. She loved to sing and dance around her home. You could find her doing the Larenzo Stomp on Saturday mornings with her children. She loved singing and dancing to the Beer Barrell Polka among others. She loved watching the Mummers Parade and doing the Mummers Strut. Mary loved sharing stories of her childhood and her yearly vacations to visit family in Coastal Massachusetts. She loved art music and reading. She had a quiet splendor and a beautiful humility. Mary had simplicity and a beautiful smile.

Mrs. DiGuiseppe is survived by six children: Maria, wife of Jonathan Bitting, of New Hampshire, Faith M., wife of Timothy Good, of Royersford, Michael X., husband of Kimberly DiGuiseppe, of Spring City, Andrew R. DiGuiseppe, of Royersford, Anthony J. DiGuiseppe, of Bechtelsville, and Mary C. DiGuiseppe, of Bucktown; seventeen grandchildren: Cora, Sarah, Christina, Gina, Kenneth, Joseph, Michael, David, Alexander, Maximillian, Marisa, Kevin, Christopher, Skylar, Jade, Jessica and Lillian; seven great-grandchildren: Sophia, Roman, Levi, Josephine, Henry, Ava and Ophelia; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by six children: Gabriel S. DiGuiseppe, Gabriel S. DiGuiseppe Jr., Stephen G. DiGuiseppe, Grace M. Gross, Diane M. Kotch, and Angeline M. DiGuiseppe; two granddaughters: Julianne and Evangeline; and two brothers: Charles and John Gombarick.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 11:00 am, at Sacred Heart Church, Lewis Road and Walnut Street, Royersford. Officiating will be the Rev. Tadeusz Gorka. Interment will follow in the Holy Trinity Cemetery, Phoenixville.
