Mary Ellen Duncan, age 80, wife of the late Duane V. Duncan Sr., of Birdsboro, PA, formerly Pottstown, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022 in the Complete Care at Berkshire Center, Reading, PA. Born on April 9, 1942 in Norristown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Kovach) Tallon.

Mrs. Duncan worked as a certified nursing assistant at the Montgomery County Geriatric Center before turning her attention full-time to her family. For many years, Mrs. Duncan was an active member of the Sanatoga Fire Company Ladies' Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crafting, coloring, and took great pride in her collection of angel statues and figurines. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Mrs. Duncan is survived by one son, Duane V. Jr., husband of Amber Duncan of Birdsboro, PA; two grandchildren, Braedon M. and Delaney G. Duncan; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Dorothy Brown, Joseph Tallon, Ann Vargo, and Charles Kovach (Sister).

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service in the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 3640 Schuylkill Road, Spring City, PA on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Charles O'Hara. Burial will follow in the Morris Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA. Friends will be received from 9:30 am - 10:45 am in the church on Friday morning. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Sanatoga Fire Company, 2222 E. High Street, Pottstown, PA 19464.
