Mary Ella "Sis" Mourar, 86, widow of Buck Ogden Mourar, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2013 at Seasons Hospice, Phoenixville, PA.

She was born in Chester County to the late E. Morris and Mary E. (White) Strickland. She attended Warwick High School and was a homemaker. Sis was a member of Pughtown Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Gertie A. Mourar, of Pottstown; son, Buck K. Mourar, of Bensalem; sister, Ann McAfee, of Pughtown; brothers: Ray Strickland and wife Patricia, of Watkins Glen, NY; E. Morris Strickland and wife Marsha, of Pottstown; one granddaugher, Mary Amarene McClune and husband Sean, of O'Fallon, IL and great-grandchildren: Avery and Madeline McClune. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Theodore and Thomas Strickland.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Pughtown Baptist Church, 780 Pughtown Road, Spring City, PA 19475. Officiating will be Rev. Carl Simmers. Calling time is from 10-11 AM. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a hospice program of your choice.
