Mary M. (Reiter) Groff, 84, of Trooper, passed away on Wednesday, October, 29, 2008, in the Colonnade at Schwenksville.? Born in Norristown, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Margaret (Clark) Reiter.?
Mrs. Groff attended school at St. Patrick's in Norristown.? During World War II, she was employed at Lansdale Tube, which later became Philco-Ford.? A homemaker, she took care of her family while her husband tended to the family business, Groff's Sunoco, in Norristown, from 1951-2001.? She and her husband also loved trips to the casinos in Atlantic City.?
Mrs. Groff is survived by sons, William W. Groff, III, companion of Linda Thierfelder, of Plymouth Meeting, and George R, husband of Marcia Groff, of Phoenixville, four grandsons, William IV, Brian, Matthew, and Michael Groff, and three great-grandsons.? She was preceded in death her loving husband of 59 years, William W. Groff, Jr., and two brothers.?
