Mary Joan “Joan” (Clemens) Johnson, age 85, loving wife of the late Donald Johnson, of Trooper, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Seasons Hospice. Joan was born on June 20, 1934 in Norristown, Pennsylvania, to the late, Harold & Marguerite (Hitchens) Clemens.

Mrs. Johnson worked for many years as a cashier at the Genuardi's Supermarket in Norristown before going on to start her own cleaning business. Joan was a talented artist, and in her spare time she enjoyed crafting and painting with her friends and family. She also loved to travel and enjoyed going to the casino or playing bingo whenever she had the opportunity. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and dear friend to all and she will be missed by many.

Joan is survived by her five children, Donna Johnson, Deborah Kimbel, Wayne Johnson, Jennifer Manton, and Christine Hackett; two sisters, Nancy Armstrong, and Judith Horvath; and also survived by over twenty loving grandchildren and great grandchildren who knew her as Nannie.

In addition to her husband, Joan was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Harold Clemens, and Robert Clemens.

Funeral Services will be held privately for Mrs. Johnson. Burial will be held privately in the Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, Pennsylvania.
