Mary C. Long, age 91, wife of the late Joseph Long Sr. and companion of more than 30 years to Dominic "Doc" DeNardo, of Limerick, PA, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023 in the Pottstown Hospital. Born on September 16, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Ann (Frame) Schlict.

Mrs. Long was a graduate of South Philadelphia High School. She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Royersford and St. Teresa of Avila Parish in Trooper.

Mrs. Long took great pride in tending to her home and family. Before homemaking, she worked for North American Insurance Company, where she met her husband and enjoyed just shy of 40 years of marriage before his passing in 1991. She retired from Colonial Penn Life Insurance Company after several years of employment.

Mrs. Long loved being with her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Along with Doc, she enjoyed taking rides for ice cream and attending car shows. Mrs. Long was also a member of the Red Hat Society.

Mrs. Long is survived by three sons, Joseph B. Jr., husband of Christine Long, James W., husband of Roseann Long, and William T., husband of Marcia Long; seven grandchildren, Joseph Long, Kimberly Long, William Blewitt, Brandi Rodriguez, Danielle, wife of Matthew Fish, Kirsten Long, and Jason Long; and a niece, Joanne, wife of Harry Johnson. She was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Schlict.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Lewis Road at Walnut Street, Royersford, PA on Monday, July 31, 2023 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in the West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, PA. Friends will be received at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA from 9:00 am - 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by visiting stjude.org/donate.
