Mary Rose Neher, age 81, wife of the late George R. Neher, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at home. Born on October 6, 1938 in Phoenixville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Irene (Slavinski) Denfeld.
Mrs. Neher attended St. Ann's School and Phoenixville High School. She had held positions at the New York Coil Works, as well as cleaning at Dr. Brown's office in Phoenixville. Most of her time, however, was spent tending to her family and children as a homemaker. She loved to spend time in her yard, and watch and feed the wildlife. She was an animal lover and an avid reader.
Mrs. Neher is survived by four daughters, Kathryn A., wife of Joseph Shillenn of Phoenixville, PA, Kimberly A., wife of Brian Thornton of Phoenixville, PA, Jacqueline A., wife of the late James Scheetz of Georgetown, DE, and Jennifer A., wife of James Sherlock of Lewes, DE; seven grandchildren, Jason, Brian, Matthew, Sara, Christopher, Olivia, and Marissa; and six great-grandchildren, Henry, Lilian, William, Wade, Kade, and Kassie. Mrs. Neher was preceded in death byone grandson, Zachary Boggetta, and two brothers, Henry and Richard Denfeld.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside service in the St. Ann Cemetery, 300 West Pothouse Road, Phoenixville, PA on Monday, September 28, 2020 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Brandywine Valley SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380.
