OBITUARY:

Mary (Peacock) Yocum, wife of the late Howard F. "Cy" Yocum Sr., of Royersford, formerly Oaks, passed away on Sunday morning, August 28, 2011 in the Parkhouse Providence Pointe. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Nathaniel and Hazel (Wood) Peacock.

Mrs. Yocum was a member of Green Tree Church of the Brethren, where she was active in many of the church's clubs, including being a part of the Friendly Lookout Class and teaching bible school. She was an avid card and bingo player.

Mrs. Yocum is survived by one daughter, Barbara Monahan, of Royersford; two sons, Howard Jr., husband of Paula Yocum, of Monkton, MD and Robert, husband of Lynn Yocum, of Allentown, PA; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Eliza Jane Peacock and Barbara Leeds; and one brother William Oliver Peacock.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at Green Tree Church of the Brethren, 1078 Egypt Road, Oaks, PA 19456 on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Rev. David A. Leiter. Burial will follow in the Green Tree Church Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA 19468 on Wednesday evening, August 31, 2011 and on Thursday morning from 9:45-10:45 AM at the church.
