Mary T. (Alexander) Pesta, age 103, of Bartow, Florida, formerly Royersford, Pennsylvania, wife of the late George R. Pesta, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023 in Brookdale Highlands Clare Bridge, Lakeland, FL. Born on October 19, 1919, in Berwyn, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jennie (Carbo) and Joseph Alexander.
Mary was retired from Superior Tube in Collegeville, PA. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Royersford, PA and Resurrection Catholic Church in Lakeland, FL.
She was a loving and generous mother who, during her younger years, was an active advocate for Womens' rights and loved her trips to the casinos and Las Vegas. Later in her life she was content with watching television, working on her word search puzzles and after dinner, or any time of the day, was well known for saying "There is always room for dessert!"
Mrs. Pesta is survived by daughters: Marilyn, wife of Charles Daly and Georgiann, wife of Wayne Troutman; grandchildren: Nikki, Jason, Jarred, Deven & Bethany; great-grandchildren: Maureen, Quinn, Alexis & Anthony; great-great granddaughter: Jillian; and great-great-grandson: Ryan; sister: Theresa Schurr; and brother: Gene Alexander. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Mary Denise Westcott; grandson: Ryan; great grandson: Jared; and brothers: Louis, John and Charles Alexander.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 11:00 am at the St. Patrick's Mausoleum, Dekalb Pike, Norristown. Officiating will be the Rev. Tadeusz Gorka. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM.
