Maryann E. Shaw, age 77, of Limerick, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2019 in Sanatoga Court, Lower Pottsgrove. She was born on July 24, 1941 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.

Maryann was employed as an executive administrative assistant for Deloitte and Touche in Philadelphia. She had a love for writing poetry, even having a few poems published.

For many years, Maryann volunteered reading to children at Brooke Elementary School in Royersford. She also volunteered for Meals On Wheels in Pottstown and at Pottstown Hospital and was a former member of the Red Hat Society.

Maryann attended every soccer game or sporting event in which her grandchildren played.

Maryann is survived by her daughter: Kimberly C., wife of Patrick Welch, of Limerick, PA; grandchildren: Brandon Welch and his wife Samantha, of Oley, PA, Shannon Welch, of FL and Tyler Welch of AZ; great-children: Scarlett Welch and Cas Stone; and siblings: Ronald Flockton, Bruce Flockton, Phylis Folger, Gail Houle, Ted Dries and Debra Case. She was preceded in death by her mother: Mary (Madsen) Moulton; and son: Edward Shaw.
