Obituary

MaryAnna "Pepper" (Hoffman) Kershaw, 82, wife of the late Isaac Kershaw III, passed away quietly with her family present on Monday, April 15, 2013. Born in Phoenixville, she was the daughter of the late Wayne and Ruth (Styer) Hoffman.

MaryAnna was a graduate of the former Spring City High School. She was employed as a register nurse in both hospital and doctor office settings after attending Presbyterian School of Nursing, now part of the Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.

Pepper will be remembered as a loving wife, mom and grandmother. She had a passion for gardening having studied horticulture at the New York Botanical Gardens. Pepper was an avid traveler having visited many parts of the world with both friends and family. She also enjoyed sewing circles.

MaryAnna is survived by her children, Isaac "Ike" IV, husband of Mary Kershaw of West Jefferson, Ohio and Leanne Kershaw, of Wappingers Falls, New York; and four grandchildren, Benjamin, Samuel, and Daniel Kershaw and Liana Figueroa. She was preceded in death by her brother, William Hoffman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the St. Peter's Pikeland United Church of Christ, 1193 Clover Mill Road, Chester Springs, PA, on Friday, April 19, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Doug Hanson. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery. Friends will be received from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc.
