Melvin C. Longacre, age 84, of New Holland, PA and formerly Spring City, PA and Dry Run, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024 in the Sinking Spring Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Sinking Spring, PA, where he resided for the past four years. Born on December 28, 1939 in Pottstown, PA, he was a son of the late Miriam E. (Reeser) and Daniel K. Longacre.

Mr. Longacre worked for the Shady Maple Farm Market in East Earl as a cart attendant. He enjoyed nature and loved animals, especially birds.

Mr. Longacre is survived by one brother, David R., husband of Ruth Ann Longacre of Chambersburg, PA; and six nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Rhoda Sanders and Joyce Brubaker.

Burial services will take place privately in the Vincent Mennonite Cemetery. A public memorial service will be announced at a later date.
