Michael Patrick Kurtas, age 49, of Stowe, PA, died in the Lehigh Valley Trauma Center on Saturday morning, November 1, 2008 from injuries sustained in a fall at his home on Thursday.? Born in Pottstown, he was a son of Josephine A. (Cassidy) Kurtas, of Linfield, PA, and the late James G. Kurtas.? He was a 1979 graduate of the Spring-Ford High School.? Mr. Kurtas owned and operated the Sunshine Pool Company in Stowe for a number of years.? He attended the Blessed Teresa of Calcutta R.C. Church that was formerly St. Clare's in Linfield.? He enjoyed Nascar, hunting, and motorcycle racing.?
In addition to his mother, Mr. Kurtas is survived by three sisters; Kathleen F., wife of Gary E. Bauer, of Pottstown, PA, Johanna M., wife of Stephen G. Owsiany, of Limerick, PA, Barbara J., wife of Michael R. Brasher, of Collegeville, PA, one brother; James S., husband of Kathleen (Tague) Kurtas, of Pottstown, PA, and fourteen nieces and nephews.? Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at the Blessed Teresa of Calcutta R.C. Church, (Linfield campus), 1228 Main Street, Linfield, PA 19468 on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 10:00AM.? Officiating will be the Rev. Msgr, Joseph P. McGeown.? Burial will be in the St. Aloysius Cemetery, Buchert Road, Pottstown, PA.? Friends will be received from 6:00 - 8:00PM, Tuesday evening at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA, or from 9:00 - 9:45AM Wednesday morning at the Church.?
