Michael D. Lawley, age 72, husband of Carol Anne (Buzzard) Lawley, of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024, in the Paoli Hospital. Born on October 29, 1951 in Philadelphia, he was a son of Georgianna (Vance) Lawley and the late Donald James Lawley.

In his younger days, Michael enjoyed rifle shooting and shooting birds. He played in several dart leagues and often won many tournaments over the years.

He honorably served in the United States Air Force until his retirement as a Master Sergeant. Michael served over parts of three different decades, seeing deployments during the Vietnam War, the Cold War, Operation Desert Storm and Operation Desert Shield. He never had all his Vietnam records documented due to secret operations in Thailand and undocumented missions to support the Vietnam War.

Michael was a member of the Forty and Eight, the American Legion while living in Germany, and the VFW Post 7878 King of Prussia, where he supported, spent a great deal of time, and took minutes for their monthly meetings.

Michael was a great man with the utmost integrity. He was very giving and thoughtful, always looking out for others. He was also a caring man who helped anyone in need, no matter the cause.

In addition to his wife and mother, Michael is survived by daughters: Joanne, wife of Simon Wass and Sarah, wife of Daniel Velez; grandchildren: Laci, Danny, Ricky, Stacey, Danny, Jamie, Mikey and Jordan; great-grandsons: Cole, Theo, Lucas and Logan; brother: Mark Lawley; sister-in-law: Diane Kemp; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter: Michelle K. "Shelley" Ronewicz; and brother: Dave Lawley.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville. Officiating will be Chaplain Kelly Yetter. Interment will follow in the Valley Forge Memorial Gardens. Friends will be received from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the funeral home.
