Michael R. Poteete, age 63, husband of Dorothy (Bryan) Poteete, of Royersford, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 in his residence. Born on July 9, 1957 in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late Edward and Janice (Svetich) Poteete Moody.

Mike had been a volunteer firefighter for the Royersford Fire Department since he was 16 years old and had also been a volunteer firefighter for Paoli Fire Company. He was an avid sports fan.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Poteete is survived by his daughter, Nicole Poteete, of Tampa, FL; sister: Theresa, wife of Jay Baldwin, of Berwyn, PA; brother: John Poteete, of Royersford; step-daughter: Amanda McNichols, of Yamhill, OR and Tampa, FL; and step-father: David Moody, of Royersford. He was preceded in death by one brother: Timothy Poteete.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Deacon George S. Harmansky. Friends will be received from 10:30 am - 11:00 am Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michael's name to the Royersford Fire Department, 269 Green Street, Royersford, PA 19468.
