Michael J. Walsh Sr., age 70, longtime companion of the late Dolores Kelly, of Schwenksville, PA, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023 at his daughter's residence in Plattsburgh, New York while receiving hospice care. Born on April 5, 1953 in Norristown, PA, he was a son of the late Edmond J. and Mary Louise (Sekasch) Walsh.

Mr. Walsh attended Lansdale Catholic before graduating from North Penn School District High School. He went on to further his education at Kutztown University. He retired after a lengthy career as a formulator for Merck, Sharp & Dohme Pharmaceuticals at West Point.

Mr. Walsh loved landscape art, and he was a talented sculptor and painter. He considered himself an amateur chef and he had a lifelong appreciation for music. He was an avid reader, especially of science fiction, and he enjoyed a large collection of books, art, and albums in his home.

Mr. Walsh is survived by three children, Michael J. Jr., husband of Melissa Walsh, Meghan C., wife of Joseph Rini, and Daniel Kelly; seven grandchildren; six siblings, Kathleen Francis, Thomas Walsh, Mary Doughty, Margaret Fitzgerald, Matthew Walsh, and Dennis Walsh; many nieces and nephews, and by the mother of his children, Claudia Walsh-Loesch. He was preceded in death by one son, Jonathan Walsh; and two brothers, Edmond Walsh and Martin Walsh.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Charles O'Hara. Burial will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM Saturday morning in the funeral home.
